We are currently recruiting for a Lead Technical Architect in Exeter.

 

Pay rate: PAYE 520.54 per day/UMB 668.06 per day.

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

 

Requirements: 

  • Support all procurement/contracting activities:
    • detailing relevant architectural/technical constraints & requirements
    • evaluating responses from external suppliers against our requirements
  • Support Discovery and Alpha phases of work in the capacity of technical architecture.
    • input into Discovery shaping.
    • input into Alpha testing associated to our biggest risks & assumptions.
  • Act as the interface for technical architecture between the MO and suppliers.
    • providing guidance as to assurance of any designs.
    • shaping the direction of the evolving Alpha phases to ensure solutions align with MO standards, policies, and principles.
    • work alongside suppliers to ensure quality documentation of any Alpha testing and PoC’s, including technical architecture.
    • curate associated Design Packs and Architectural Decision Records (ADR’s).
  • Support any business case creation activity, in the capacity of a technical architect, for further investment in the development of SKY.

  • You can define and challenge strategies, patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps, and vision statements. You can provide proactive advice and guidance for their definition across the organisation. (Skill level: practitioner).
  • Turning business problems into technical design. You can design systems characterised by high levels of risk, impact, and business or technical complexity. (Skill level: expert).
  • Understanding the whole context. You can understand trends and practices within the broader organisation and how these will impact on your work. You can look for deeper underlying problems and opportunities. You can anticipate problems before they occur. You can identify the impact of changes to policy. (Skill level: practitioner).
